My Role(s)
UI Champion

For this project as a UI Champion, I was tasked to focus on the various aspects of UI such as the menu screens, the main gameplay screen, and various icons to aid players in visualizing the skills used within the game.
Design Iteration Process

- The stages of design prototyping were: Conceptualization, Mockup, Implementation, Critique, Re-iterate.
Conceptualization stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, my idea was to evoke a sense of feeling and belonging as to where the main character which is our game mascot, the bunny, aims to achieve.

Thus, I went to research on badges, such as the Snoopy badge as shown on the left.

It gives off a sense of space like aviation kind of feeling, such as the badges that are crafted on astronaut suits we see in real life.

The inspiration and reference to how I designed the logo came from these badges and reference of how the moon would look like with shadows and shades.
Mockup stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, I initially created a mock up screen to aid my design team into better understanding what would be important to be shown, and the style that could portray how the future buttons would sit in when it is all pieced together.

However, the style did not suit the spaces utilized as there would be user experience issues, thus I created an alternate way as to how I would be laying out the buttons on the menu.
Implementation stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, our design team will then implement the UI mock ups that I have created onto the game.

Through this stage, we can then see what works and what doesn't, and also obtaining feedback from teachers to further understand the points that were redundant or lagging to improve further.

This image right here was an initial concept that I did, while using the colors of blue and black to bring out the feel of space.
Critique stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, critique will come whenever there are team meetings, whereby each member will then criticize the elements that could be better improved on, such as art style or visual guidance does not really fit the game etc.

Suggestions or references would then be given to guide me in my iteration decisions later on.
Re-iterate stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, re-iterate is something that never ends within the game, as we strive to improve to enhance the overall visual feedback that we give to players.

This stage will tend to address concerns and changes according to better suit the game overall aesthetic and visual theme, as well as to provide ample understanding and feedback to bring the game another step forward.

As seen in the pictures, there were different iterations to the menu as me and my team search for a more fitting color and design that will blend well with the overall environment and setting of the game.
