My Role(s)
UI Champion

For this project as a UI Champion, I was tasked to focus on the various aspects of UI such as the menu screens, the main gameplay screen, and various icons to aid players in visualizing the skills used within the game.
Design Iteration Process

- The stages of design prototyping were: Conceptualization, Mockup, Implementation, Critique, Re-iterate.
Conceptualization stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, the image at the right shows a screenshot of how the previous gameplay screen looked like.

So from there on, I was in charge of improving the overall style and look of the UI elements that were present in the game.

I felt that the icons were too simple, and blockish too, so that was the things that I had to change to fit the game in a more appropriate manner.
Mockup stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, I then created a mock up of how I wanted the UI to look like when I entered the game, such that I did not change much from the previous positions the buttons were initially situated, but more of how the styles would look like.
Implementation stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, we will then implement the UI mock up that I have created onto the game.

Through this stage, we can then see what works and what doesn't, and also obtaining feedback from teachers to further understand the points that were redundant or lagging to improve further.

Relatively, I have also changed the rocket boost bar from horizontal to vertical, as I felt that it was covering too much of the screen that might be of a hindrance while players played our game.
Critique stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, critique will come whenever there are team meetings, whereby each member will then criticize the elements that could be better improved on.

Suggestions or references would then be given to guide me in my iteration decisions later on.

Through the various critiques and feedback that I have gotten, I went on to craft different styles of what the weapon system would look like, with very different style and options of how it would be conveyed to players.
Re-iterate stage

For Bunnyble To The Moon, re-iterate is something that never ends within the game, as we strive to improve to enhance the overall visual feedback that we give to players.

This stage will tend to address concerns and changes according to better suit the game overall aesthetic and visual theme, as well as to provide ample understanding and feedback to bring the game another step forward.

After various iterations from the feedbacks, this image here was how it finally looked within the game, such that the colors on the rocket boost bar was converted to a simpler color scheme, such that players visually know when their boost is depleting to very low levels.
